The Origin of the «Russian» Esther: Hebrew —> Hellenistic Greek —> Syriac —> Slavonic

The earliest Slavonic Esther is a translation of a Second Temple Jewish (otherwise unknown) recension written in Greek. There was a Syriac translation between the Greek and the Slavonic.
